Little Dribblers – Any child born in 2010 ad after

Runs one hour for 8 weeks at King’s Edgehill School. The focus of the time is to provide fun activity for the children. We want the children to develop a comfort with being in the gym. We want the children to do fun activities while learning how to run, jump and gain hand to eye coordination. Learning how to dribble, pass and catch a ball are priorities. We will do some shooting and there is a possibility to play some games if we are invited to tournaments, but this is not our focus.

  • A parent or guardian is to remain in the gym at all times for this age group. We strongly encourage parents to participate with their children by following the lead of the coaches. Indoor shoes only in the gym.
  • As an association we may consider a spring session of 4 weeks in April and May.

A schedule will be posted on the website and/or handed out by the coach. Home games will be played at Avon View High School on the weekends. Practice and game schedules are confirmed by coaches. Players/parents will attempt to make up for missed games, but the league schedule is not a guarantee of the number of games that are played. There is a beginning and end of year tournament called a “Jamboree”. Additional games and tournaments may be sought out but will be done with parental approval.

Junior Mini teams play a 4 on 4 game format and equal playing times for shifts. We strongly endorse the practice of wiping the score at the end of each shift and the notion that playing is more important than the score.
