Registration for the 2023/24 Basketball Season

Shooting Star Basketball Association is so excited to welcome all new and returning basketball players to the 2023/24 basketball season. Registration will open on August 20, 2023!


In-Person Registration: We will be at the outdoor courts in Windsor behind the Tim Hortons on King Street Extension from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on August 20th for in-person registration.

Online Registration: Online registration opens at 11 a.m. on August 20th. It will remain open until October 1, 2023 at 11 a.m. 


This season is bound to be full of fun and excitement! We hope to inspire and model enthusiasm and love for the sport of basketball. We want all children and youth to have the opportunity to play no matter their skill level.


We offer a chance for children and youth to play basketball at a variety of age levels:

  • Little Dribblers (ages 5-7)
  • U10 / Junior Mini (under age of 10 prior to Jan 1 of the current season)
  • U12 / Mini (under the age of 12 prior to Jan 1 of the current season)
  • U14 / Bantam (under the age of 14 prior to Jan 1 of the current season)
  • U16 / Midget (under the age of 16 prior to Jan 1 of the current season)

All SSBA teams (U10 and up) will play in the Metro League. All games will take place in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM).
