Star Basketball AGM Meeting
The SSBA Board cordially invites you to
attend our AGM (Annual General Meeting) being held in the Seminar Room at Avon View High School on Tuesday, May 28th at 6:30
pm. We have some Board positions to be filled for the upcoming season. Most positions are held for 2 years. The
open positions include:
Secretary
Tournament Coordinator for Provincial Tournaments
Equipment / Uniform
Manager
Vice Chair
We would love to have some new people fill these positions. If you are worried about the
time commitment filling one of these positions entails, we can assure you it is not intense. The Board meets approximately
4-5 times per year.

Spring Sessions
Providing there is enough interest, there will be a spring basketball skills session and league offered
at King’s-Edgehill School on Tuesday
and Thursday (with
the occasional Wednesday) nights from 7-9 pm. Skills sessions (led by Chris Horne) will be part of the spring league. Female and male athletes from Grades 3-9 are welcome. There will be 2 divisions
split by grade level. The cost for these 12 sessions will be $50. The dates will be April
16, 18, 23, 24, 30, May 2, 7, 9, 14, 16, 22, and 23. Please email Heather Strickey at frederick@kes.ns.ca to register your son or daughter. Please include your child’s age, gender, and grade
in the email. Once we have confirmed we have enough participants, we will email more details.

NBA Shooting Coach To Give Clinic
In New Minas
The Love of the Game is pleased to announce that NBA Shooting
Consultant Dave Love will be running a day of clinics for young basketball players on April 20th at the Louis Millet
Community Centre in New Minas
It will be open to players from the age 11 and up for a cost of $39.95. The session
will run from 9:30am to 12:30pm

for the Provincial teams for Boys and Girls U14,U15 and U16 as follows

Registration Fees:
Preregistration with advanced payment - $10 for BNS members and 25 for non BNS
members(if you
played in the MBA or in Provincials, you are a member. If not sure if you are a member, please check with your coach)
Registration at the door - $15 for BNS members and $30 for non members. Please bring completed registration
